Synopsis

What If the life you remembered was a lie, and a near-death car accident was the only thing that could set you free? Clio, a young woman, wakes up in a hospital bed with no memory of how she got there, or who she really is. As she tries to piece her life and past back together, she experiences fragmented flashbacks and distorted memories that leave her questioning her own identity and what the truth is.

With the help of her mother, Lethiwe, and her subconscious self, Clio embarks on a journey to uncover the truth about her past. She discovers the close relationship with her mother and her reckless nature, and the abusive relationship with her boyfriend, Malum. She recognises that her memories are fragmented due to the trauma she experienced from the car accident and cannot rely on her own mind to remember the truth.

As Clio navigates her complex web of memories, she must confront the dark nature of her past and the truth about her relationship with Malum and her mother, that made her who she is. Along the way, she discovers inner strength and resilience of surviving anything that life throws at her, as she learns to reclaim her identity and create a new life for herself.

The film is a psychological drama/mystery that explores themes of trauma, identity, self-discovery, and memories. Through Clio’s journey, the film raises questions about the reliability of one’s memory and the impact of trauma on the human psyche.
